Pre-Production: Research on Roles

Director's role:  A film director is a person who directs the making of a film. Generally, a film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision.
Directors are responsible for creatively translating the film's written script into actual images and sounds on the screen. They are ultimately responsible for a film's artistic and commercial success or failure.

Camera Operator: Camera Operators carry out the Director of Photography's (DoP) and Director's instructions for shot composition and development. They are usually the first people to use the camera's eyepiece to assess how all the elements of performance, art direction, lighting, composition and camera movement come together to create the cinematic experience.

First Assistant Camera: A (1st AC) is responsible for focusing and refocusing the camera lens as actors move within the frame of each shot. They do not look though the lens to do this but 'pull focus' according to a set of complex marks placed on the set, floor, props, etc., during rehearsal.

I researched some roles on the internet before my shoot day so I was fully prepared to take on any role on the day.
