Pre-Production: Further planning of Hair and Makeup

As we are coming closer to our music video, we understand we need to gather and productively plan the last of the pre-productive aspects. We fully realise it is crucial to be entirely prepared, focused and equipped for our shoot day on the 21^st.

For example, as Fran and I recently discussed potential costumes for our five cast members, I felt it was of necessary and helpful to create a tabled plan for everyone involved in our shoot, including individuals within my group and cast members. As well as considering clothing for our cast, I also took into account makeup and potential hair styles.

In order to visually see whether our plans for costumes, makeup and hair are successful and effectively communicated on camera, my group and I will arrange a fitting date for our cast. During this fitting, my group and I will clearly see what works well and what can be improved or changed. We are also happy to try new ideas or suggestions from anyone to add to our pre-productive plans for our costumes, hair and makeup, possibly mixing and matching items between the girls.

However, the costumes, hair and makeup fall reasonably straight forward and clear. For instance, we decided to stick to a reasonably loose colour scheme of tones of blue, green, sparks or silver and hints of cream. We feel by having our cast in similar clothing colours it will visually look better more professional and follow the ‘cool, crisp’ look we are aiming for. Our lead singer will have a change of three costumes to distinguish her out from the crowd, however, our other girls only have one costume. I created a planed table including, intentional costumes and hair for each girl and will  also complete a further makeup plan. I will take these tabled plans with us on shoot day, so everyone is on the same page and we all gain easy awareness for everyone involved.
