Pre-Production: Further response to our lip sync

After viewing our further lip sync practice, we wanted some feedback and further improvements in order for our video to be successful. For instance, many enjoyed watching it and was fond of the track as well as our casted member Juli. Many said she suited the role very well and fitted with the voice of the artist, Bishop Briggs.

However, in order for our video to be effective and impressive we wanted some constructive criticism as well. For example, although Juli’s surroundings were not accurate and she wasn’t suited in costume nor knew the words perfectly, an individual explained she looked too cheery and happy for the song. From gaining this information we viewed the lip sync several times and beneficially understood our main cast member Juli, needed to be more cool and icy to fit our track instead of young and playful. This was a really good set of audience feedback as we all agreed she needs to change her approach to our video. Therefore, next time we rehearse she will make the prominent and distinct decision of maintaining a cool, icy and mature look. Due to this, we understand the importance of sticking to a colour scheme as we do not want our video to be to colourful as our concept is not made to look cheap, cheery, young or trashy.
