Pre-Production: Second Location

Directions from school to the location.

I recently visited a house in ‘East Horsely,’ however it did not meet all our demands although we can securely say it is a good back up and easy access. As the previous find was not as successful, we made a constructive and effective decision of researching to find another one. For instance, Harvey, a group member of mine, visited another similar house, however it is in ‘Chiddingfold,’ a few more miles away. The house he viewed was built a long time ago and is ready to be knocked down and done up, similar to our other find, however this house does not have any plans to it as such so it is easier to work with. The feel inside the house is similarly aesthetic.

Although this house is further out, it has a lot of positives. For example, as it is going to be knocked down, my group and I have the advantage of doing whatever we wish to it. The house also consists of a large garden and also a pool. As we can do whatever we want to the house and it includes a pool, we might rethink our concept as we have a lot more to play with and a rare advantage as no fees are included. This property is also a lot more reliable as it is free to use whenever. This is a very exciting project for my group and I as messing up a house has not recognisably been done before, allowing our video to be more original.

From considering both the houses viewed, my group and I have chosen to shoot in this house in ‘Chiddingfold.’ In preparation for out video, as a group we will view the house in the next few weeks and begin planning potential set designs for it. We also need to gain permission for using the house but it is a very effective, interesting and an excitable asset to our pre-productive stage.
