Pre-Production: Visting the location

As we are aware our music video shoot day is around the corner, our pre-productive aspects are coming to a close. Due to time, my group and I are organising and completing the last of our plans towards our shoot day on Monday 21st. For instance, working through our plan we understand the crucial mass of visiting our location and completing a clear, structured risk assessment.

Exploring the house
Therefore, today we visited our location. It was very beneficial and effective as I had only previously seen photos of the location and not physically stepped foot inside. Although, whilst on our visit, everything went successfully to plan and the location was in perfect condition, accessible and ideal for Monday. As a group, we went round the whole house, exploring the location and capturing images of each room to possibly shoot in and use. For instance, I took many photos of the living room, kitchen, bedrooms, garden and more. We all felt, all the rooms looked good as they were very spacious and echoed with effective visual aesthetics. However, on Sunday, Harvey and I plan to revisit the house and accurately prepare it for shoot day on Monday. We may dirty up the walls and floors in preparation, so no time is wasted. Similarly, we will take props to our location on Sunday to prevent disorganisation on the day.
Prime features of the house

Interestingly the house had many impressive visuals and holds many intriguing aspects. For instance, the location has prime features, such as appropriate and effective base rooms to film in, although the house also includes some further and fascinating details; such as, accessible wardrobes, opening doors and cupboards, interesting lighting and more. In addition to being provided with extra details, my group and I plan to create some aesthetically pleasing, original and unique footage.

Risk assessing the house
Alongside viewing the house, our risk assessment went to plan and our location gained supportive and professional permission. From visiting the house, my group and I are also feeling more excited towards our shoot day and passionate towards our concept, however, the nerves are starting to creep in as we all wish for effective, impressive and the best results. Although, we understand confidence is crucial when shooting.

Moving forward, our next step before Monday is buying the necessary props or gathering the last of the costumes for the day. For instance, on Saturday, I will travel to the store and purchase the materials needed. As well as this, will also speak with our cast to prepare and update them with everything they need to know. Lastly, I feel researching roles or equipment we are going to use will be beneficial and effective as this will prevent time wasting but I will gain more confidence and feel more comfortable within the position or equipment I will be using.
