As we are
coming to the end of creating and further developing our products, our teacher
Phil produced our last opportunity of research and inspiration for our CD
Digipak. For instance, he brought in several various physical copies of CD
Digipaks for us to browse through and hopefully take motivational inspiration
from, considering the layout, design and more.
This was
beneficial as it allowed us to compare our created Digipak with real one’s in
which we were fond of. It also helped us to consider any finalising changes or alters
we wish to make before finishing. We took on board, the successful results were
creating’s which were clear, simple, creative and showed aspects about the
genre and the artist. Therefore, we understand we need to show ideas of youth
and rebellion in a visually pleasing but effective, clear and simple way.
From viewing
the several covers and Digipaks, as a group we realised that our font used on
our track list was too big and could possibly be made smaller for a more
effective look and finish. We felt this alter was necessary and crucial as the
most successful Digipaks consisted of smaller scaled writing. Similar to this,
we were all fond of the writing presented on the spine as it gives a clearer
insight and direction into our artist, as well as looking visually better. For
instance, we will hugely consider including the name of our artist or the album
name down the spine.
