As I am working and focusing specifically on creating the
website for our artist, SIOUX, I am constantly and consistently working on it every
day to attempt to improve it and make it as successful as possible.
As we are working as a team and each doing our bit to
achieve the best results, my group and I always organise a group discussion regarding
our products and to make sure we are all stirring in the right direction. I think
coming together as a group at times is very important and hugely beneficial as
we all gain suggestions in which we had not thought of before and also gain
either positive or negative opinions regarding our creations. It also helps us
to gather our products together and discuss the similarities and differences
between them as we are all aware we aim to allow our products to come together
a strong, effective and interlinking collective force.
For instance, I presented my first attempt at completing the
website so far and many positives were raised as well as improving comments. The
last time I gained feedback regarding the colours of the site and the imagery
used. As my group and I are aware we have our focus group soon and therefore
are working to make our products the best they can be in time for the group. Last
time my website was just at its starting point and lacked accurate photos and
videos, as well as correct text. My group felt the website was too basic and
bright and therefore needed the colours to darken and link with the CD Digipak more, so therefore I listened to
all these suggestions and responses and altered the website. I made progress by
changing the text, imagery after gaining photos from our photoshoot and
altering the colours used. However, I am still working with the template given
that I started with and my options are fairly limited but I will consider this.
Hopefully the focus group will be fond of my website so far, however, I will be pleased to hear issues, problems and concerns they have as this will beneficially help my ancillary product to improve and become better. I feel a focus group is only effective if one receives negative feedback as well as positive. As well as this, I am open to altering and developing it in any way I can.
